| Our clients based in Lichfield are looking to recruit an experienced Designer to join their very busy team.
The Job:- Designing commercial, yet trend led ladies and childrens accessories. Liaising with the Commercial team on direction of design for specific seasons and customers. Working to specific briefs from both the Commercial team, and from clients. Demonstrating a thorough understanding of the clients market. Communicating designs to suppliers for sampling. Follow up and encourage suppliers to take the lead on design by creating collections to compliment the initial designs. Creating new designs from scratch and also re-designing current samples to increase speed to market. Creating the company's fashion trend and colour forecast and updating throughout the season. Sending monthly trend bulletins with accompanying products to clients. Brand and logo development for new ranges as appropriate. Assist in the design of the companys website and any other corporate image design as appropriate. Accompany the Commercial team on sourcing trips to help suppliers understand our design requirements and develop new products on site. Weekly trawl of fashion forecasting websites to keep up to date with forthcoming trends. Manage copyright documentation. Accompany members of the sales team in meetings with customers when required. Show customers visiting the company our process for designing products. The Ideal Candidate:- You will have a minimum of 3 years experience in the design of fashion accessories, have a keen eye for detail and possess clear and concise written and verbal communication. You should be highly organised, computer literate and have experience with Adobe Photoshop and Auto CAD. The ability to work to tight deadlines, have a professional attitude and be prepared to 'muck in' with the rest of the team as and when required is essential and you will thrive in a busy and hardworking environment.
